In this century, it is too common and natural to associate everything with unbelief, especially when it belongs to Christian principles. Disbelief has become a principle of life. In our life almost everything we are questioning. It is good sometimes to not believe whatever we see, but not about Christians’ faith because religions, in general, are based on faith. And when we start to behave like an unbeliever, we will face spiritual problems in our lives that will affect our daily life, and we will start to reject everything that comes from God. Maybe you will ask, how I will know that it’s coming from God? Of course, everything is good it comes from God, and everything bad, comes from evil. But to compare these things we should work on 2 main issues.
1. Working on our spiritual connection
2. Lack of prayer
Have you ever realized, sometimes when we have a bad internet connection, we start to call the internet company, and check the Wi-Fi, to fix the internet problem? And nowadays we can’t even do our work if we have a bad internet connection. But the problem is, do we act in the same way when we are having a bad connection with God? Do we start to look for problems, or do we let the connection as it is, we don’t care about the connection. Unfortunately, a major part of faithful people, don’t care about their connection with God. That is the sad truth. Our souls are like a tree, if we don’t give them as much water as they need, we will not have some fruit. In the same way with our souls, if we don’t go to church, our ears will stop hearing the words of God, stop giving the food, the spiritual food to our souls, by the time we will become unbelievers. But when we start to attend on a weekly basis on the church services, the fire of that faith will remain in our souls, it will illuminate our whole being. Our souls are the temple of the Holy Spirit and so, we start to take good care of our souls and our faith. We have to start to fix the connection, it is time because maybe tomorrow will be late to fix it. But how to fix the connection, and the answer is at the second point, we have to start to pray more.
If we want the Wi-Fi to work, we have to put the cables together, so it can start to give us internet. For our spiritual connection, we need to speak, in other words, we need to start to pray, read, and hear. Last week I spoke about prayer, how to pray, and what to pray, and today we need to put into action what we heard last week. The difference between Wi-Fi internet and spiritual Wi-Fi is that in the spiritual part, we don’t need electricity. We have the Bible; we have the book that is written the life of our saints, a special book for just prayers. Prayer is nothing but dialogue with God. Do you know our life is a war against evil? Therefore, we also need the power that God gives to fight against evil. Prayer is our weapon and shield. That is our strength. Our Lord Jesus Christ, did he need to pray? Of course not. But he prayed that we would learn from him. We read in the General Letter of the apostle James the following: “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” (James 5:13-15).
Therefore, it’s up to us if we want to have a good connection. We know where the cables are, and we know how to connect it just requires time. We have to take the step toward God because he already took that steps 2 thousand years ago. And if you want to change your life, then live today like it’s your last day, and in that way, I’m sure we will change our life completely. May God grant you peace, health, and joys day.
